These aren't unrealistic expectations and they are achievable and what you deserve for your birth.

All too often, birth is perceived as not being within our control. It can be seen as a condition rather than a natural part of our lives.

Accepting that this is your birth, and that you and your partner have choices is essential. A doula can work with you to help you discover your choices, and desires surrounding your labour, birth and the early postpartum period. Doulas are an important part of the birthing team and can have many positive effects on the outcome of labour and birth whether you have a hospital birth or home birth, Midwives or Obstetricians.

ASL

I am also an American Sign Language (ASL) - English Interpreter, therefore I am comfortable using ASL for our meetings. If you or your partner is Deaf or Hard of Hearing I will be able to provide my services without the need of an interpreter for our prenatal meetings.
